Whether you shine in the social spotlight or prefer to make magic happen behind the scenes, the House of Commons elections are coming up and we need you!
Please consider taking a role as a member of the Board of Directors or as a Chairperson (or Co-Chairperson). There will be a variety of organization and committee openings that speak to a range of skills at which we know the parents of Westlake Academy excel. We encourage anyone who is interested in contributing their ideas and energy into a fun group working for a common cause to join the team!

** The HOC is so excited about hosting the second annual Mother Son Event. Just to clarify, PYP and MYP students may participate in both of the dodge ball and nerf events. Rest assured, teams will be divided age appropriately. We also are asking for more moms and dads to get involved this year to help referee teams. Sign ups will be coming soon. Hope everyone is as excited as we are for this great event. **

A big congratulations to Mrs. Ormond and her class for collecting the most box tops in the last collection! They received a trophy along with other prizes as well as a pizza party for the class thanks to our generous sponsor, 3 LB Equities!
In addition, House Keller won the house competition by collecting 657 box tops!
The next collection period ends this Friday, December 7th. Make sure to hand in as many box tops as you can (labeled with your name, teacher and house) for a chance to win a class pizza party while earning $$$ for the school!

This year we are bringing back a fun tradition as we plan to decorate the school campus for the holiday season.
We are asking all New Families to donate a small ornament of their choosing to help decorate our holiday trees and campus. We’d love to see decorations which represent the backgrounds of all the student body, whether it’s family-oriented, internationally themed or portraying one of the many holidays celebrated during this time of year. Once donated, your ornament will be included in our holiday decor for years to come.
Please drop off your ornaments to the PYP front office by November 30th
